Monasterio de Santa Catalina (Arequipa)

Paddington visited the Monasterio de Santa Catalina while in Arequipa. The convent is located in the heart of the city and is over 20,000 square meters in size. It was built in 1580 and enlarged during the 17th century. Lucky for Paddington, his visit took place by candlelight, making for a truly unforgettable experience!

  1. Querido Paddington,

Por favor, dice a tu amigo Brett: "Happy Birthday and many happy returns of the day!"
I bet this has been one special way for Brett to celebrate his birthday.

  2. I'm a little worried about Paddington--he seems to be a little too brazen/adventurous for his own good. Sneaking around the nun's quarters? Lowering himself into a well? Out after dark, carousing in the courtyard? I hope Birthday Brett was watching out and not letting him over-celebrate....
